Position Description/Overview:



This position is responsible for monitoring the regulatory landscape and identifying relevant government changes which could impact Press Ganey current products. The person in this role leads projects to gather client and internal stakeholder feedback about policy changes and assists with the development of corporate positions. The policy analyst is responsible for drafting industry updates specific to patient experience surveying for internal and external audiences.



Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor regulatory publications and identify relevant changes

    • Responsible for reading regulatory publications including but not limited to the federal register, Office of Management and Budget disclosures, and Department of Health and Human Services websites.

    • Participate in webinars, conference calls, and conferences sponsored by government agencies
    • Identify relevant changes
    • Summarize proposed or finalized program changes

  • Gather stakeholder feedback

    • Lead CAHPS Technical Expert Panels
    • Solicit feedback from clients through the account teams
    • Request input from Press Ganey thought leaders
    • Compile feedback from multiple sources to inform decision making

  • Communicate updates to internal and external audiences

    • Author monthly CAHPS Insights newsletter
    • Maintain internal webpages for each patient experience product
    • Coordinate with product to provide updates to cross functional group of internal stakeholders
    • Participate (virtually) in client meetings to provide policy updates and answer questions
    • Present updates as part of Press Ganey and industry webinars

  • Serve as liaison between Press Ganey and quasi-governmental entities

    • Act as the primary contact for CMS subcontractors responsible for development of CAHPS surveys
    • Act as the primary contact for CAHPS Database

Qualifications:

  • Position requires ability to work independently.
  • Candidate must be able to analyze complex rules and regulations and understand their potential impact on Press Ganey and our clients.
  • Position will be responsible for leading the execution of implementation plans.
  • Associate will be required to understand the structure of relational databases and write custom data extracts using SQL.
  • Position will be responsible for creating custom reporting using statistical software packages (i.e.SPSS) and Excel.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Health Policy, Public Health or related field
